Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. The professor is also director of the Center for Public Policy Research. Her name is widely recognized for initiating the modern study of memory recall by eyewitnesses, and children as witnesses. Professor Goodman who is a prolific author with a wide range of publications and many grants to her name she is also the winner of a variety of international and national distinctions. She has been a consultant to numerous government agencies and governments across the globe on policy and research concerning child victims in the legal system. She is a consultant at the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center and was previously the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She holds memberships in many professional groups, such as the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is part of Psychonomics Society, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a founding Member and International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has served as the president of three divisions (Division Society for Policy and Child Development as well as Practice Division of the American Psychology Law Society as well as Division Developmental Psychology) and one Section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
